7:07 PM: Everything you've ever seen is just a mirror.

so i've decided to open myself up to all kinds of ridicule, by listing my 10 favorite albums of all time, in no order. here goes:

Bright Eyes-Letting off the happiness.
Probably my favorite album at the moment, letting off the happiness is full of raw emotion and is just a kick ass album all around.
Essential Tracks: Touch, If Winter Ends, A Perfect Sonnet

Ben Folds Five-Self titled
Ben Folds Five at their most fun.
Essential Tracks: Underground, Sports and Wine, The Last Polka

Ben Folds Five-The Unauthorized Biography of Rheinhold Messner
Ben Folds Five at the height of their musical talents in, sadly, their last CD together.
Essential Tracks: Narcolepsy, Mess, Magic, Jane

Ben Folds Five-Whatever and Ever Amen...
Ben Folds Five at their most introspective.
Essential Tracks: Smoke (my favorite BFF song), Song For the Dumped, One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces

Bob Dylan-Blood on the Tracks
Personally, I think this is Dylan's best album, surpassing even Highway 61 Revisited and Blonde on Blonde
Essential Tracks: Idiot Wind, Tangled Up in Blue, Simple Twist of Fate

The Beatles-The White Album
If you can't see the brillance of this album, you're stupid.
Essential Tracks: Helter Skelter, Blackbird, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Good Night

Weezer-Pinkerton
I'll never get tired of this album. Ever.
Essential Tracks: Butterfly, El Scorcho, Pink Triangle, Why Bother?

The Flaming Lips-The Soft Bulletin
A wonderful album by a band everybody loves to name drop, but noone actually listened to until "Yoshimi battles the pink robots" was released. Check it out sometime.
Essential Tracks: The Gash, The Spark That Bled, A Spoonful Weighs a Ton

Radiohead-The Bends
Holy shit, this album rocks. If radiohead were this consistent with their music on every cd, they'd be hailed as one of the greatest bands of all time by now.
Essential Tracks: The Bends, Just, Nice Dream, Fake Plastic Trees

Jack Johnson-Brushfire Fairytales
Call me what you will, but after a year or so of owning this record, i still listen to it at least once a week. It's that good.
Essential Tracks: Bubble Toes, Fortunate Fool, F-Stop Blues, Losing Hope

Bands and CD's that barely missed the cut: The Strokes, OK Computer, The Beach Boys, Third Eye Blind, Weezer Blue, Aimee Mann, Ben Kweller, Fountains of Wayne, On and On, The Velvet Underground, Oasis, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, Bruce Springsteen, 3 or so bands that I have probably forgotten to mention but really like.

Yep, well that about sums it up, I guess. Time to instant message me and make fun of my musical tastes while listening to "The Young and the Hopeless" by Good Charlotte.
