10:12 PM: “What are your aspirations in life?”

It’s a question my parents have asked me countless times. I finally have an answer for them:

I have but two very simple desires. All other concerns (wealth, education, family) come secondary:

1) To make a difference, and to have mattered, in the course of history.

2) To leave behind as little empirical evidence of my existence as possible.

In short, I want to be remembered in five hundred years, not for my words, but for my actions.
